Straight answer: we do not rent electric cars in Punta Cana yet. We are preparing to add EVs to our fleet, and this page is where we will announce the exact models, daily rates and pickup options the day they are ready. No deposits, no waiting list that goes nowhere — just leave us your WhatsApp and you will be among the first to know.
Why we are not renting EVs yet
Renting an electric car only makes sense when you can charge it without planning your whole holiday around it. In the Punta Cana and Bávaro area, public fast charging still comes down to a handful of points — the Evergo network operates the main ones — and most resorts and Airbnbs do not yet have a charger you can count on. On the roads to Miches, Samaná or Las Terrenas, charging is scarcer still.
Until we can hand you the keys and an honest answer to “where do I plug this in tonight?”, we prefer not to rent EVs at all. When the charging map improves and our units are in, this page changes.
What we recommend in the meantime
If what you want is a small fuel bill and an easy car for the airport-to-resort run, our economy category is the closest thing: compact, efficient and the cheapest to run all week. Where can I charge an electric car in Punta Cana?
Public charging in the Punta Cana and Bávaro area is still limited, with the Evergo network running the main fast-charging points. Some hotels have added chargers for guests, so it is worth asking your resort directly before counting on one.
Is an electric car a good idea for a Dominican Republic road trip?
For short hops inside the tourist corridor it can work. For longer routes — Samaná, Las Terrenas, Barahona — charging points thin out quickly, so a petrol car is still the safer choice today.
When will your electric cars be available?
We have not set a date and we will not invent one. This page is updated the day the first unit is ready, and everyone on the WhatsApp list hears about it first.
